German-inspired food at this year’s event will include bratwurst, sauerkraut, hot dogs for the kids, and the crowd-pleaser – chewy pretzels (sweet and savory). We will also have hot dogs and German potato salad. Volunteers from Holy Comforter Lutheran Church and the Holy Smokers will put their spin on this year’s Oktoberfest fare.

The Kingwood Oktoberfest will feature HCLC booths and demonstrations for the whole family to enjoy. There is plenty to do for the kids with games, activities, and face painting. This year we are also adding a Vendor Market! Click here for details.

Admission this year is $8 for adults and $3 for children. Games, rides, activities, music, and dancing are included in the admission fee. Food this year will be a la carte and reasonably priced to help you stay on a budget.

Our marketing mix for The Kingwood Oktoberfest is a combination of targeted paid online and print advertisements as well as local and regional media coverage. We also invest in newsletter placement and social media promotion. We also focus heavily on grassroots promotions such as yard, street, and neighborhood signage placement, flyer and poster distribution in and around the community, and day-of-event sponsor announcements. The coverage expands each year as we continue to grow our brand and presence in the community.

Prizes provided by The Cove and more!

This year will be the third annual costume contest for The Kingwood Oktoberfest! We were pleased that more and more people are showing up in Oktoberfest gear each year. This year The Kingwood Oktoberfest Costume Contest is at 3 p.m. We will have a contest for both kids and adults. Prizes provided by The Cove, Toys and Candy on the Park and more! We will have an entry form coming soon or you can fill one out when you get to the event. DJ Rick will make an announcement around 3 p.m. calling for contestants. Holy Comforter Lutheran Church staff and council leaders will judge the contest this year.

Last year’s Children’s Competition (no one entered that had an Oktoberfest Costume, so we just went with it and it was adorable!)

Last year’s Adult Competition (it was tough to choose from all of the amazing costumes)
